Thoroughly clean the area around the wheel arch where the E-TECH Arch Guard is going to be fitted.
IMPORTANT - This area must be completely free of all traces of oil, grease, wax, polish, dirt, dust and moisture. Thoroughly dry the area.
Do not fit in temperatures below 55°F (13°C) as this effects the adhesion of the product. If the temperature is below 55°F (13°C) you can warm the E-TECH Arch Guard up and the area where it is going to be stuck using a hair dryer or by fitting it in a warm garage.
Using the "E-TECH Surface Cleaner" sachet provided, wipe around the wheel arch area where the E-TECH Arch Guard is going to be fitted. The Surface Cleaner will prepare the bonding area for the Arch Guard so strong adhesion is achieved.
Measure the wheel arch area to be protected and cut the Arch Guard to the required length. Use a sharp knife or pruning shears. You may need to trim or cut the Arch Guard around side mouldings if your vehicle is fitted with them. Make sure you fit the Arch Guard the right way round (See line Drawing)
DO NOT STRETCH THE ARCH GAURD WHILE INSTALLING
- Offer the Arch Guard up to the wheel arch and peel back only 1 or 2 inches of the backing tape and fold this down to leave a flap.
- Stick the exposed end of the Arch Guard in position and rub down gently. Then pull the flap of the backing paper away from the Arch Guard a few inches at a time and slowly stick the rest of it in position, rubbing down gently as you go. Once moulding is in plae it should not be removed.
- Rub Arch Guard 3 or 4 times to ensure that a maximum bond is made. Repeat above process after 6 and 24 hours.
- This adhesive takes time to cure so please do dot wash car within 3 days of installation
